Dr Mac’s Organic Origins offers a range of scientifically formulated diets for individual species.  Certified organic and free of genetically modified (GM) ingredients, no synthetic preservatives are added, instead concentrating on premium packaging. 

Premium Packaging

Dr Mac’s premium packaging consists of a dual foil/laminate layer, eliminating penetration of moisture, air and sunlight and extending shelf life.

Shelf Life

The shelf life of Dr Mac’s ranges from 12-24 months, depending on ingredients.  Breeder and hand rearing diets contain more fat so are more susceptible to lipid peroxidation and should be used with 12-18 months of packing date.  Shelf life for maintenance diets is up to 24 months.  Nutritional quality will be depleted with extended storage and exposure to air on opening also accelerates breakdown.  Use within 4-6 weeks of opening a bag.
